Finishing
Finishing:
Every BigBen WoodWorks Ashtray is treated with Odie's Oil before it becomes available for purchase. Odie's Oil is an excellent finish for all types of materials, which made it the perfect choice for my work. Since I craft ashtrays from a variety of materials, this versatile finish ensures the wood is not only protected but also enhanced, bringing out its natural beauty and durability.

Cleaning
“Dump & Wipe”
To prevent staining and maintain the finish of your ashtray, it’s recommended to dump the ashes after each use. A quick wipe with a warm, damp towel afterward is typically all that’s needed. By following these simple steps regularly, you’ll help extend the lifespan of your ashtray.
PLEASE AVOID
“Stamping Out” your cigar.
Never press the lit end of your cigar into the ashtray as you would with a cigarette. Doing so, especially in a BigBen WoodWorks Ashtray, can result in irreversible damage. Proper care ensures both your cigar experience and your ashtray remain in top condition.
Machine Washing:
Putting the Ashtray in the dishwasher.
Hard Abrasives:
scrubbing A BigBen WoodWorks Ashtray with a high abrasive like stee wool can scratch the finish and epoxy and cause damage to your ashtray.
