Why a BigBen WoodWorks Piece?

Tree — Everything starts with selection.
I hand-pick both local and exotic slabs for their grain, character, and the way they’ll hold up through years of real use. If the wood isn’t high quality, it doesn’t make it into my shop.

Hand — No assembly lines.
From deep-pour epoxy ashtrays to hand-shaped charcuterie boards and rugged edge-grain cutting boards, every piece is shaped and finished individually. The details matter — and they’re the first thing factory-made boards leave behind.

Home — Built to be used.
I create pieces meant for real life, not just display. My goal is to deliver functional centerpieces that become staples in your kitchen or lounge — craftsmanship designed to last for generations.

  • I love working with clients to create pieces that are truly tailored to them. Picking the wood, playing with epoxy colors, and figuring out the overall design is usually the most fun part.

If you’ve got an idea in mind, I’m happy to talk through materials, design, and what’s going to work best.

Fill out my contact form, and we’ll get started on making your one-of-a-kind piece.

  • I keep a rotating assortment of woodworks at Wilks Works on Main Street in Niantic, CT. Pieces come and go, so the selection is always changing. For current availability, it’s best to contact Tiffany directly at (860) 451-2003.

Pieces available at Wilks Works will be labeled accordingly. Reach out to Tiffany for the most current availability.

  • I work with high-quality woods sourced locally and from select regions. Each piece is chosen by hand for its grain, character, and how it will be used and enjoyed.

Epoxy resin can bring out some of the natural color and character of the wood, and I enjoy using it for river boards and one-of-a-kind ashtrays. Sometimes I come across great wooden cookies that practically beg for an epoxy charcuterie board. While epoxy is 100% food safe, I avoid using it on cutting boards since its hardness isn’t ideal for knife edges.

  • Delivery costs depend on the item and where it’s going. I’ll always go over any delivery fees with you before moving forward. Each piece is carefully packed to arrive safely and ready to be used.
